This Lawn mower has produced in the Republic of South Africa, Southern Cross Industries (Pty) Ltd first set foot on African soil as the Southern Cross Windmill and Engine Co.

Back then, its regulatory head office and factory, Southern Cross Organisation, was based in Toowoomba, Queensland Australia. The initial idea was to distribute Australian manufactured products in South Africa. In the 1950’s Southern Cross radically transformed, by establishing a manufacturing facility in Bloemfontein.
